Lint collects most easily in versatile ducts, due to lots of ridges on the edges, or in ducts that curve or if not bend. If the lint settles on the perimeters of your duct, it sticks a little bit through the residual dampness from the heavy, humid air and later on dries into an impacted mass that cannot be eradicated just by blowing it away.Like so
